My 25+ years of hands on management experience enables me to offer a depth of industry expertise and perspective to my clients with a focus on improving personal and professional performance.

Riley McDonough

Riley McDonough is a highly regarded digital media executive, advisor, investor, and executive coach. He is known throughout the industry as an inspirational leader with a relentless passion for results, and a 25 year track record of driving revenue and leadership success for organizations such as Newsweek, Inc. Magazine, ESPN, WebMD, and Thomson Reuters, through innovative product development, collaboration, and market execution.

At ESPN, he lead his team to 400% revenue growth in less than 4 years, focusing on strategic account development with some of the largest consumer brands in America. At WebMD, he was responsible for launching the Consumer Markets Division which he grew from $0 revenue to over $50M in less than 3 years. And, at Thomson Reuters he lead Global Sales for the Consumer Media Division, posting positive year over year revenue gains while successfully launching “Reuters Audience Select”, the company’s first audience management platform to support programmatic buying and selling of advertising inventory.

Riley believes strongly in the importance of giving back to those individuals and institutions that have helped him succeed over the years. He regularly mentors startup companies on revenue strategy and has made angel investments in the green building, e-commerce, and business service industries. He is currently a board advisor for several early stage digital companies.

He has a passion for all subjects related to performance development, leadership, global environmental sustainability, and the advancement of better health and wellness through innovations in science and technology.

He was a founding board member of the Online Publisher’s Association (OPA), and a board member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). He served as an adjunct professor at Pace University in the Masters of Publishing program and also lectured on sales and marketing at his alma mater, Iona College, where he is currently a member of the Legal Board of Trustees. Riley also completed an accelerated Executive Coaching program at NYU’s School of Professional Studies.
